  I’m curious how to establish that a species variety exists in CT and NY that is listed as only growing in NH, VT, and MA.

  Dear erin, good morning. To document that this variety occurs, you would need to get the identification confirmed. Photographs can be useful for some taxa, but a collection that becomes deposited in a regional herbarium (plant museum) is the preferred manner.
