  • Question

Growing in wet soil at the bottom of a dried out pond in Massachusetts. Bidens?

    Answer

Dear jfc, yes, you have photographed a species of Bidens. Without measurements of the rays, I can't tell you much more than this is likely Bidens cernua. This is a relatively common beggar-ticks that has conspicuous rays and leaves without well-defined petioles.
