    Dear joe, good evening. The plant you have photographed looks like Lactuca canadensis (tall lettuce), a native species of lettuce that typically produces yellow flowers. You can confirm the identification by tearing a leaf. An off-white (almost tan) latex should exude from the wound if it is this species.
