I believe this to be Meadow Bistort located in Dorset VT however it is listed as "absent" in Vermont. Can you confirm or give me a correct ID?

Dear mbrownie, good morning. It does appear you have photographed Bistorta officinalis (meadow bistort). The distribution you see listed on Go Botany is for wild plants that are growing outside of cultivation.
