  Hello, I have a question about if you can shape cucumbers while they are growing and to the extent of which they can be shaped. I recently misheard a friend pronounce their pickles as a sphere instead of spear and the image of spherical pickles has been in my mind since. Is shaping a cucumber into a sphere possible?   Dear meghand, I have no personal experience shaping cucumbers. However, I did grow cucumbers one year and they matured orange and roughly spherical (even though the package showed typical elongated green cucumbers). I suspect they can be shaped, but I don't know the process to consistently produce a desired shape. Best wishes.
