I saw this fern on the Bay Circuit Trail in Sudbury,MA on November 27. Can you tell me what it is? Thank you!

Dear Marty, good morning to you. You have photographed a species of Polypodium (polypody), native species in the polypody family. There are two species in New England (and a hybrid between them), both of which typically grown on shallow soil over rock and in rocky forests.
