  Hello, I just signed up to this sight! So, is there any books I should read to design a sustainable landscape with native New Hampshire plants? Any other resources besides books? Currently undergoing information overload right about now! :D Thanks!

  Dear annasophia, good morning. I am not a design specialist, so I can't provide you much direction with regard to which books to read. I suggest you contact the horticulture department at the New England Wild Flower Society to identify what resources they are using. Two books that would be useful that I can recommend are "Flora Novae Angliae" (Haines 2011), which provides a comprehensive list of wild plants and their native status, and "The Nature of New Hampshire" (Sperduto and Kimball 2011), which lists all of the natural community types found in NH, so that you will have an understanding of what to recreate with the plants you are using.
