Sighting: American pokeweed at 38.941885, -77.332328

Location notes: Swath of county land between Lake Thoreau and high use Sunvalley Drive.

Comments: This weed was taking over the sumac, black locust, holly, and groundcover. Grew 8 feet before being taken down and the difference is striking between other side of slope where no pokeweed exists and variety flourishes. Hundreds of these weeds in area of 40 sq. ft.
