Sighting: Symphyotrichum at Poplar St, Norwalk, CT 06855

Location notes: Near backyard oak tree.

Comments: This flower is abundant in my yard. Note the flanges on the petioles. [The species initially determined is an historically occurring taxon in New England, perhaps you have seen Symphyotrichum undulatum?--admin.]
