Location notes: Close to the football stadium in Umass Amherst right after the bridge.

Comments: This is a terrestrial specimen with hairs underneath the leaf. It has spikes on the leaf as well. The leaf is also lobed. The plant produces circular fruits. [This is a species of thistle in the composite family--admin.]
