Sighting: Comptonia peregrina at 490 Long Plain Rd, Sunderland MA

Location notes: The sweet-fern is located in the middle of a grassland near 490 Long Plain road.

Comments: Sweet-fern is a shrub woody plant which lives in the terrestrial habitat. The leaf blade is simple and one leaf per node along the stem. The leaf edge has both lobe and teeth. The leaf shape linear. The color of the leaf is reddish brown during autumn.
