Location notes: This American pokeweed is found on a flat field which contains many herbaceous plants and non-woody flowering plants.

Comments: American pokeweed is a terrestrial habitat plant. The leaf blade is simple and alternative. The leaf margin is entire with no teeth or lobe. The leaf shape is lanceolate. There are 5 tepals of each flower colored in pink, and each has 9-12 stamens. The fruits are fleshy which are berries.
