Native Plant Trust: Go Botany Discover thousands of New England plants

Sighting: Bluet at Logan, OH

by lshirk on April 20 2016

Location notes: Several patches alongside the road and trails at Cassady's Hilltop Cabins

Comments: This variety of bluets are white bluets although some were a very pale blue. According to one article I read, they are sometimes called Quaker Ladies. Its Latin name is Houstonia caerulea and it belongs to the Madder family (Rubiaceae).
