Native Plant Trust: Go Botany Discover thousands of New England plants

Sighting: Apiaceae at Saco, ME

by risskie on September 9 2015

Location notes: Originally found in Sebago ME,, a homeowner who was clearing her property, gave away 20 ferns to repopulate in York County. I was given one fern. I planted it next to house, partial sun, in July 2015. It's now about 2' tall.

Comments: With the help of the Tom Stuart, email coordinator@hardyfernlibrary.com , I figured out the name of this fern. He gave me a site address to read about this fern: https://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/botrychium/virginianum/ [This is not Botrychium virginanum, but likely a member of the Apiaceae (celery family)--admin.]
