Native Plant Trust: Go Botany Discover thousands of New England plants

Sighting: Sarracenia purpurea at Wendell State Forest

by Petros on July 23 2015

Location notes: one of the bogs ;)

Comments: Maturing fruit & a pitcher-leaf. There are lots of bogs in Wendell SF, but not all of them have open sphagnum mats, and not all of them have carnivorous plants. This one has lots of both! Water levels were down some, so I only went in over my boot once.
