  • 1a. Leaf blades elliptic, gradually reduced in width through the basal half of the blade, lacking red to orange resin glands; indument of rachis, costae, and costules composed of hairs up to 1 mm long
  • 1b. Leaf blades lanceolate to broad-lanceolate, only somewhat reduced in the basal portion, with numerous, red to orange resin glands; indument of rachis, costae, and costules of hairs 0.2–0.4 mm long
