Facts
Grove blue grass is found in upland and riparian moist deciduous forests from eastern Canada south to the Appalachian mountains; "alsodes" means "of woodlands." It is a loosely tufted perennial grass that does not have rhizomes. A delicate, sparse inflorescence (panicle) is produced in May and June.
