Facts

Crown daisy is introduced from Eurasia as a garden ornamental, and is an occasional escapee in New England. The young shoots, young leaves and flower petals of crown daisy can be eaten raw or cooked. A fragrant pickle known as 'kikumi' is made from the petals in Japan.
