Facts

Spotted water-hemlock is toxic to humans and livestock. While it is normally found in wetlands and along shorelines, this species sometimes is also found in low areas of fields and livestock can accidentally graze on its foliage.

Habitat

Anthropogenic (man-made or disturbed habitats), lacustrine (in lakes or ponds), marshes, shores of rivers or lakes, wetland margins (edges of wetlands)
