Facts

Short-stalked false bindweed is considered native to New England and, although it is found in four of our six states, it is often overlooked. Our subspecies is ssp. fraterniflora; related subspecies are native to southern Europe and introduced to other parts of the world, where they can be weedy. This plant is differentiated from other bindweeds by its lobed leaf bases that have a broadly rectangular sinus.
