Facts
Naked-stemmed sunflower is a small species that rarely exceeds three feet in height. In New England, this plant has only been recorded from Massachusetts, which is not within its native range. The Southern Ojibwa applied a poultice of crushed roots of naked-stemmed sunflower to bruises and contusions.
