Native Plant Trust: Go Botany Discover thousands of New England plants

Sighting: Northern White Cedar at 43.984, -68.260

by Carol_in_Maine on April 6 2019

Location notes: Bit of branch fallen on to snow near the wet end of the trail.

Comments: Tiny little flowers! Why are some covered with a black scale? I'm sorry I only have the photo and could not bring it home to study, since it was in the park. [These plants do not have flowers, they have cones, and the black scales are part of the pollen cones--admin.]
